Richard is a San Francisco Bay Area native. He holds an associate’s degree in Spanish language and literature, bachelor’s degree in economics, and is finishing a master’s degree also in economics.

He previously taught a variety of subjects including economics, mathematics, and sociology at Cameron College in New Orleans. He also served as a Title 1 Tutor with Catapult Learning, teaching literature and mathematics for grades 8-12 as well as algebra boot camp at DeLaSalle High School in New Orleans.

Getting to the “a-ha!” moment is his favorite part of tutoring. In addition to his academic background, Richard has also done telemarketing, business-to-business sales for medical and office supplies, and social media advertising for various non-profit organizations. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, hiking, and seeing live theatre.
