If you attend a High School in Florida, you’ve probably already heard of the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship, but how much do you really know about it? For starters, the Bright Futures Scholarship is open to all students looking to apply to an in-state public university, and you just have to meet the requirements to receive it.
The first step to receiving this scholarship is community service. To be eligible for the highest awarded amount you need to have logged at least 100 community service hours. Ask your school counselor for more information on what hours are permitted, and start doing community service as early in your high school career as possible.
The second step is test scores. The current level of requirement to receive all of your tuition expenses paid is a 1330 on the SAT, or a 29 on the ACT. To get the next highest scholarship level which pays for 75% of tuition and fees is a 1210 on the SAT or a 25 on the ACT.
If you’re looking to meet these score requirements, book a tutoring session for the SAT or ACT with Miles Smart Tutoring today, and if you want more information on Florida Bright Futures, you can find that here
